slow walking

I went online yesterday to see what was playing in the cinema. Did you know that The Saw has six films ? SIX FILMS ? Really ? That’s what ? Five and a half too many ? I don’t think I’m following… are they trying to compete with Home and Away ? Plus there are actually at least two more coming. Yeah.

Anyway. Want to know what you CAN’T see at the cinema ? Lars von Trier’s Antichrist!!!! Hello ???? This is probably one of THE films of 2009 and you can’t see it in Tartu! I’m skipping school on Thursday so I could make it to Tallinn to see the screening there. Neither are they showing Los abrazos rotos in Tartu… this is pretty tragic as well.

I don’t know how many of Almodóvar’s films have I seen but I dare to say the number isn’t too small. I have literally just watched a few of his films – in Spanish, without any subtitles. Without really understanding much… because his films are brilliant. Because I love what he does. And now you’re telling me that I can’t see it in Tartu ? This was supposed to be the city of good thoughts, the freaking city of intellectuals.  I’m sorry but I’m pretty certain the intellectuals here becoming extinct is only a matter of time…

Good news is both K. and H. gave birth to their babies this week! Come on, how awesome is this :) I mean, it’s awesome as hell as long as it’s not me, right ?

circle square triangle

First of. Go here to buy the song “I Got Soul” to support War Child.

Second. I have completely forgotten to tell you about a band called The Canon Logic. You can check them out on myspace and if you like what you hear, you can download music! For free! Yaay! I’m usually very sceptical about bands who follow people on twitter or send them promotional e-mails because more often than not people voluntarily would just not listen to them but this was different – I actually enjoyed it. It’s nothing out of the ordinary – quite frankly I’d say it’s a really safe indie band but the tunes are catchy so I’d totally suggest them to you.

Third. I found my bra! Along with that a part of my dignity as well, I guess. I was really worried about it. I couldn’t find in Friday morning and that kind of freaked me out because it’s not only pink and pretty but also because I spent the night home alone so the only option would’ve been me taking it off at the party and lost it there. That would’ve been quite awkward. I can imagine what my next time there would have been… someone walking towards me holding a pink lacy bra: “Hey, Laura, you forgot something! If you decide to leave your panties or something here this time, give us a note with your address so we could send them to you and not humiliate you in public. OK, enjoy the evening!”

Luckily I’m such a classy girl and never get drunk enough to do things like that… because if I ever do get carried away I normally keep myself occupied with falling down the stairs and if I don’t, Ev does so I’m baby sitting her. Really. This falling is pretty much our thing. In movies the BFFs always have this special thing or a song or whatever. We have falling down the stairs and something you could call rave music*. Woo hoo!  I don’t know if I’m the lucky one here because whereas Ev has ripped apart her pants and stockings, I have only done damage to my dignity. It’s not like I have that much of it, you know.

Anyway I’m on the bus again and since my boobs look fantastic in the reflection on the window I’m going to stop writing and stare at my boobs. I can’t help but understand guys who do it.

* Ronan Keating was playing when I wrote that. You gotta love me. My iTunes with approximately gazillion songs was on shuffle. What? That’s not an apology? What ever! You don’t know what you’re saying! Besides I totally had a crush on him when I was like 12. Okay, that sounds really disturbing.

pom pom

Woohoo! Today’s the last night in my seven days of blogging thing. How annoying was that! Since I’m all over ceteris paribus and irrational behaviour (yeah, it’s still hard for me), I’m going to take off right away. Well, no… because first I have to express my joy - most probably the coolest blogger of all time is back in business. Go over and love her.
